It's official!
The Gibson Brothers Band will be performing at the
Five Suns Bluegrass Festival in Moses Lake, WA.
Finally, after many personal emails from me and a phone call to parks and rec. in Moses Lake, the website (www.fivesunsbluegrass.com/) has been updated with the 2012 line-up and info. Sure enough, all the links from TGBB and the 2012 festival are agreeing. And, as if there isn't enough GOOD stuff happening THAT same weekend, all over the place, looks like there is even room to show this on the July calendar page!
I think Bluegrass is alive and well this summer! Let's all be sure to get to a festival that weekend, so all these great events are well supported. If you go to Moses Lake, don't forget, it is REALLY HOT! There is a municipal water park within that same otherwise free venue for splashing and cooling off, adm. @ $10. each. If you still do that kind of thing, splash in public! If you want lodging, be sure to book early! There is a huge baseball tourney that same weekend every year in Moses Lake. I know where we will be, but can I find my swimsuit? Sally B.

Rainier Picker’s Festival says goodbye.
All you loyal Rainier picker’s festival folks, I just heard
from Charlotte Runyan, and looks like it is official. This
year will be the last year for that great little festival.
We all knew it might come, one year soon. Charlotte
says, ‘This will be it.’ No one from the local community

it for 2013. Many of you have been to this FUN little
festival and supported it over the years. This year make
sure you attend, to THANK Art and Charlotte for 20
years of great fun, friendship and MUSIC! I am sure
they will appreciate your salutations and gratitude! Get
on out to Rainier on August 24-26 and ‘pick a little’ for
Art & Char! Sally B.
